WC Government launches first Health Complaints Committee in the country

The Western Cape government have appointed the first Independent Health Complaints Committee in the country.

Western Cape MEC of Health Nomafrench Mbombo will announce the committee on Monday.

“This three member committee has been appointed in accordance with the Western Cape Independent Health Complaints Committee ACT, No 2 of 2014.” Ministerial spokesperson Colleen Smart said.

“This Act was promulgated to provide for the establishment of a system for the referral of complaints to a committee for consideration.”
