Western Cape appoints very first Independent Health Committee

Yesterday Western Cape Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo introduced the very first independent Health Complaints Committee.

This committee is a direct response to the commitment to the provision of person centred health care in South Africa.

The three member committee has been appointed in accordance with the Western Cape Independent Health Complaints Committee Act.  


Spokesperson to the Minister Colleen Smart added that “The committee showcases the provincial government commitment to health, which is Minister Mbombo’s main priorit. We are confident they will promote accountability of complaints.”
