Alleged house robber shot in the head

An alledged house robber was shot dead in Brakpan  yesterday afternoon.

Clifford Shongwe said…“The EMPD and police had been called to a residence in Brakpan North where a robbery had taken place.

When police arrived at the house, the suspects ran on foot to an open field that had enused mine shafts.

The suspects fired shots at the police.

A helicopter and a dog unit were dispatched in search of the suspects.”

Shongwe concluded…“As the search continued, one of the suspects opened fire at police, police responded. He was shot in the head and died instantly."
