Mineral Resources Minister
Mosebenzi Zwane says the results of the probe into the cause of the collapse at
the Lily Gold Mine near Barberton in Mpumalanga, will be made public.
He visited the mine on Friday. The search for the mine's three workers is expected to resume soon. Rescue operations were halted for two to three weeks.
Pretty Nkambule, Yvonne Mnisi and Solomon Nyirende were trapped underground about three weeks ago when the container in which they were working collapsed into a sinkhole.

Zwane has described as
satisfactory, the mine's efforts to get where its three staff members are
trapped and said
“"In two to three weeks maximum we will be able to commence with our work. We are from the area where the new machine is drilling. They have addressed us about the progress and we are happy that we are on schedule despite the teething challenges.”
