Eskom says it's ready to face the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse in court.

This after OUTA threatened to seek an urgent interdict in the High Court in Pretoria to stop a 9.4% electricity tariff hike.

The increase, which has been approved by the Energy Regulator is due to come into effect on April 1.

Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe says OUTA has the right to express their views.
