Minister Mbalula says some ANC leader lack discipline

Sport Minister Fikile Mbalula says some leaders lack the discipline the former SACP Secretary-General had. Mbalula was delivering the Chris Hani public Lecture at the University of South Africa in Pretoria on Friday.

The Minister says during the struggle for liberation Hani found himself disgruntled and unhappy within the movement. He says Hani opted to communicate his frustrations with party leadership.

“Comrades these people who form political parties today are not the first to have faced challenges in the ANC, but Chris Hani never left the ANC. He had a choice to join PAC or to become redundant politically.” Mbalula says Hani, even after spending 10 years outside the structures of power within the ANC, returned a disciplined member".
