WC Police Officer shot in Delft

Police have opened a case of murder after yet another police officer has been fatally shot in the Delft area.

Western Cape Police spokesperson, Noloyiso Rwexana, says the officer was in his private vehicle at the time of the incident. 

A case of murder is being investigated and anyone with information has been requested to contact their nearest police station.

On Monday morning, Constable Lindekile Sikade was allegedly shot and killed in front of his house and robbed of his firearm.

Another policeman based in Mitchells Plain was shot on Thursday evening. He's currently in hospital.


The police's Noloyiso Rwexana said, “We’re investigating a case of murder after an incident which happened last night in Delft where an off-duty constable was fatally wounded by an unidentified suspect.”
