Court cleared after threat to kill men accused of killing Cape Town girl

A threat to the lives of the two men accused of killing 6-year-old Saadiqah Lippert in Bokmakierie resulted in the Athlone Magistrate's Court being cleared today.
The police's Tactical Response Unit cleared the courtroom and later only allowed the child's parents and the media to sit in on proceedings.
 This after threats were received of a planned revenge shooting in the court.
Police said it was a safety precaution to protect the suspects.
 According to the State, the gunfire which claimed the child's life is believed to be gang and drug related.
