CPUT Security Guard shot on duty

A security guard has been allegedly shot dead on duty at Cape Peninsula University of Technology Cape Town Campus this weekend.

CPUT Spokesperson Lauren Kansley said the woman was inside the security control room on Sunday when she was shot. Police Spokesperson Andre Traut confirmed Police were investigating a case murder however no arrests have been made yet.

 Kansley said the University believed that the matter has been isolated incident and counselling had been provided to affected staff members.
