The Western Cape High Court is
expected to hand down judgment on Monday in an application by the Democratic
Alliance to have Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions Nomgcobo Jiba
suspended, pending a disciplinary inquiry into her fitness to hold office.
The Democratic Alliance asked
the court to force President Zuma to suspend Jiba and institute disciplinary
proceedings after she was strongly criticised by the Supreme Court of Appeal in
cases relating to the so-called Zuma spy tapes, and Richard Mdluli.
