Western Cape MEC for Social Development, Albert
Fritz, has today launched the new Atlantis Drug Counselling Centre.
In his open remarks during the launch, MEC Fritz
says “It is always great to see people in the province taking initiative,
whether they be in government, NGO’s, the Private Sector or individuals in
communities”.
He said the discussion he has had with some
community members in Atlantis, have been most encouraging.
MEC Fritz says he’s department has now increased
its services in the last six years from a mere 7 drug treatment and
intervention sites, to 26 sites around the province.
