South African Post Office workers
in Western Cape have laid down their tools today in demand of a 10 percent
salary increase.
A group of about 200 workers, who are allied with
the Communication Workers' Union, marched in the Cape Town CBD to
deliver a memorandum to Sapo.
CWU representatives have encouraged workers to stay at home until Sapo
meets their demands.
The union's provincial secretary, Wayne
Bredenkamp, says it's unacceptable that workers have not had an increase in three
years.
