A Man in his early twenties was left with critical injuries after he was
knocked by a bakkie yersterday.
the accident occurred on the corner of Frikkie Meyr Boulevard and Jan
Van Riebeek Boulercad in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 Spokesperson Pieter Rassouw
says It is bielieved that the man
was begging at the intersection when he was hit by the bakkie.
Rassouw says “ER24 paramedics responded to the scene and found the man
lying in the middle of the road.
He said “he was treated sustained multiple critical injuries including
carious fractures and head injuries.”
“he was treated and transported by ER24 to sebokeng for further
Treatment.” Said Rassouw
“the deiver of the bakkie did not sustain any injuries, but was assessed
for shock” he condluded
