The man accused of raping at least one woman at the University of Cape Town will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old was arrested near the Rhodes Memorial on March 12, days after UCT offered a R100 000 reward for information about the attacks on several students.

He faces a charge of raping and robbing a 23-year-old woman at the bottom of the Rhodes Memorial on November 19, 2015. There was a possibility he could be linked to other attacks in the area.

On Thursday, March 10, another UCT student was attacked, assaulted, and raped off campus.
