South African Artist Black Coffee,Makes history

The South African government has congratulated DJ Black Coffee who walked away with a BET award in Los Angeles last night.

Black Coffee has become the first South African to win the prestigious award in the category Best International Act: Africa. 

The well renowned DJ was up against fellow local musicians, AKA and Cassper Nyovest who were also nominated. 

South Africans alike have taken to social media to congratulate the We Dance Again hit maker. 

The Arts and Culture Department’s Lisa Combrinck said that Black Coffee has contributed a new chapter to South African history, culture and music for receiving this award.
