Transport Minister Dipuo Peters has
arranged a two-day national youth summit on road safety.
The event is being
held in Pretoria under the theme, ‘Being Safe is Cool’.
Peters has been
joined by transport MECs, a delegation from the United Nations and other
stakeholders.
She says the
summit is aimed at encouraging the youth of South Africa to participate
meaningfully and decisively in road safety to reduce road killings.
