An AWB leader and his associate are expected to appear
Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court today charged with the illegal possession of
firearms and ammunition.
The pair were
arrested on Wednesday. The 48-year-old Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging leader was
allegedly found at a house in Vanderbijlpark with two rifles, two shotguns, two
pistols, and 2 136 rounds of ammunition.
They arrested the second man, a 42-year-old AWB member, at
a second address, in La Paradiso estate, Vanderbijlpark.
He was allegedly found in possession of 306 live rounds for
a 22 milimeter rifle, nine rifles and three pistols.
