Khomotso Phahlane closely monitoring municipal elections

Acting National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane says violence hotspots are being closely monitored ahead of the municipal elections just three weeks away.

He and the police's top brass held a briefing yesterday where he discussed their plans to ensure the elections run smoothly.


  Phahlane says the intelligence structures have identified several hotspots and potentially volatile areas that will be closely monitored.
