Several human trafficking arrests made

The police have made a breakthrough in a human trafficking investigation which has resulted in more than 50 children being rescued. 

Acting National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane is scheduled to announce details of the arrests and the operation later this morning
The police say they have arrested three men suspected of human trafficking and secured the release of more than 50 children. Details of the operation are not known, except that it took place this weekend


Two weeks ago the police rescued 16 girls from a house in Kempton Park. The youngest girl was 15-years-old. It is suspected that the girls were being used as prostitutes.
