WC Government sold Tafelberg for an office block

In a statement issued, the NDIFUNA UKWAZI movement says the Western Cape Provincial Government has intentionally mislead the community of Tafelberg.

This is after the movement says it published an online record of around 700 leaked documents from the Western Cape Provincial Government including emails, memo’s which revealed Western Cape Government sold Tafelberg to subsidise an unaffordable Provincial Office Block.

NDIFUNA UKWAZI representative, Julian Sendin says

“We can reveal that several politicians including Madikizela and Grant lied about what the proceeds of the sale Tafelberg would be used for”.

He says “They claimed repeatedly that the proceeds would go towards a  project but document reveal that actually the R135million has been diverted into a R1.2billion mega project which is to build offices for the provincial government in Bree street in the CBD”.
