Weather conditions are clearing in most parts of the country as people are making their way to the polling stations.
In Eastern Cape residents say the weather is friendly and they will be making their way to their voting stations.
A 78-year old man says he has been waiting for this day and finally he will be using it to vote for his party.
Meanwhile other excited residents say they will use this day to vote for a better future for their children.
Meanwhile, it has been alleged that polling stations have not been opened yet in Hout Bay by 7:20 this morning, although residents were already lined up to make their mark on the ballots.
The big question still stands, who will take over the big Metro’s in these local government elections. Political giants the ANC, DA and EFF are hoping that months of electioneering pays off today.
