Police recovered more firearms at Muden area near Greytown during their operations.

A 42-year-old suspect was arrested and will appear in the Greytown Magistrate’s Court soon facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

In Thursday about 00:30, a joint operation by various police units conducted a crime intelligence driven operation at Ophathe area, Muden raiding for unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The members raided the homestead in the area and recovered an unlicensed shotgun and a pistol with live rounds of ammunition.

The suspect who failed to produce the license to possess firearms was arrested and charged accordingly.
