Security officer shot during attempted robbery in Sea Point

A Cape Town security guard is in a critical condition after he was shot during an attempted robbery in Sea Point.

The incident occurred this morning.

The guard was shot in the hand and face.

Netcare 911's Athlenda Mathe says, When they arrived on the scene they found that the officer had been shot multiple times.

She says they also found that he was in a critical condition.

They managed to stabilise him on scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
