Four people injured in KwaZulu Natal

Four people were injured early this morning after an apparent shoot-out on Blaire Athol Road in Westville, KwaZulu Natal.

ER 24 spokesperson Russel Meiring in a statement says Paramedics from the ER24 Hillcrest branch immediately responded the Westville SAPS where the patients were apparently waiting.

He says upon arrival, paramedics found that four people had sustained only minor to moderate wounds.

Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported he said.

Meiring adds that Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to RK Khan Hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the patients had been on a bus when the shooting incident occurred.

The bus driver, also one of the injured, drove the bus and injured to the local authorities.


The details surrounding the shooting are not yet known but will be investigated by local authorities, he concluded
