Transport Minister says safety is key to improving SA roads

Transport Minister, Dipuo Peters, says road safety awareness is  essential to reducing road fatalities and casualties and improving South Africa’s roads.

The National Department of Transport on Sunday launched October Transport Month at Mmorogong Village, in the Moses Kotane Local Municipality in the North West.

Peters stressed the importance of people adhering to the rules of the road and using safety gadgets in their vehicles.


Peters says that the department will also focus heavily on improving roads and infrastructure.
