A prominent Cape Town attorney
has been murdered outside his home in Lansdowne.
Noorudien Hassan, was shot several
times in a car last night.
The police's Noloyiso Rwexana says a murder
investigation is underway.
Hassan was defending Cape Town
music festival promoter David Forbes, who is accused of murdering Toufiq Joseph
at a Cape Town fuel station in January last year.
The Cape Law Society has sent condolences
to Hassan's family.
Chairperson of the Cape Law Society's criminal law
committee William Booth has described the murder as a shock.
