Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema says
former President FW De Klerk must wish that he doesn’t become president because
if he does, he will ensure the former president suffers in jail.
Malema was addressing supporters outside the
Bloemfontein Magistrates Court.
He appeared on Monday on charges of violating the
Riotous Assemblies Act when he advised supporters in 2014 to invade unoccupied
land.
The case has been postponed pending the outcome of
his application in the High Court, challenging the constitutionality of the
act.
After Malema said the EFF would not slaughter white
peoples just yet, De Klerk released a statement calling Malema’s statement a disclaimer
of the core values of the Constitution and also announced he intended
approaching the Human Rights Commission.
