Mitchells Plain Community Policing Forum has called on their community for the following information, following the murder of a teen. EWN reports that the 19 year old man was gunned down during the early hours of Sunday morning in Rocklands. The CPF’s Abie Isaacs said they are aware of the shooting that took place and condemn it in the strongest terms. The CPF requests that the community in that particular area, assists the police by forwards information in connection with the suspects. A murder investigation is under way and arrest are yet to be made.

Community members in Dobsonville said they are living in fear from criminals and the police are failing to protect them. EWN reports the community having a march on Monday after the body of a 23 year old man was found dumped in an open veld last Thursday in an open veld. Dobsonville residents marched to the open field where 23 year old Kamogelo Kgala was murdered, saying the vacant piece of land was now a killing hotspot which has the community living in fear.

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has sent his heartfelt condolences to the family of a truck driver whose vehicle was petrol bombed in the Western Cape earlier this month. Bernard Groenewald sustained serious burn wounds after his truck was targeted on the N1, near Touws River in the early hours of June 2, unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Friday. IOL Reports that, Groenewald and his brother-in-law had pulled over on the side of the highway to rest when the truck was petrol bombed. Mbalula's spokesperson Ayanda Allie Paine said: "This was a senseless killing, an innocent man was murdered, a husband and contributing member of the society was attacked.

One of KwaZulu-Natal's most dangerous criminals is expected to appear in the Vryheid Magistrates Court on Tuesday. Zwakele Nene faces 10 counts of rape, assault, house robbery, possession of unlicensed firearm, kidnapping and attempted murder. It was alleged Nene targeted various women around the area. According to EWN, A school teacher in Vryheid sustained major injuries and lost one of his eyes when Nene violently attacked him. Police also said Nene was linked to multiple cases where tavern owners were robbed and some victims were shot and wounded. But he was arrested last week and was found in possession of ammunition and cellphones suspected to have been stolen.
