Teachers voluntary invigilate Covid 19 matriculates

 

Basic education department last week announced pupils who have the coronavirus could also write the national senior certificate. They however will only write in their own venue.

It was decided after some members of the teachers union raised their concern over the safety of their people. It has been stated that teachers should volunteer instead of feeling pressured to invigilate. The basic education department said although students have the right to write, the health and safety of educators is just as important. On Monday protocols was issued to help schools prepare therefore, parents of children with covid 19 are urged to contact school immediately so that correct protocols are issued.
