Eight suspects were arrested on Friday, a day after they robbed a Constania post office, where an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
‘’At approximately 10:00 on Friday morning,
information was received about the whereabouts of the suspects and the location
of the vehicles that were used during the business robbery on Thursday at a
post office in Constantia where an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.’’ Said
the police’s FC van Wyk.
The vehicles were spotted in Hout Bay and
brought to a stop for purposes of conducting a search.
Eight males aged between 25 and 32 were
arrested with two imitation firearms confiscated and handed in as evidence.
‘’A case of possession of imitation firearms
utilised in the execution of a crime was opened at Hout Bay SAPS.’’ Said van
Wyk.
The suspects will appear in the Wynberg
Magistrate‘s Court on Monday on charges of possession of imitation firearms.
