Drunk driver takes a last sip before arrest in Blue Downs

The Cape Town Metro police officers were shocked to see a drunk driver take one last sip of brandy before his arrest.

Officers noticed an open bottle of brandy between the driver’s legs whern they stopped him at a roadblock in Blue Town on Sunday.

As the officers approached the 29 year old driver, he took “one last swig” from the bottle.

The City of Cape Town’s JP Smith said: “This level of brazenness cannot be tolerated and we hope the court takes into account his behaviour when they decide on a punishment.”

He added that there were more examples of instances where people disregard the law.
