The South African Weather Service is warning that cold
temperatures are expected to persist across most provinces in the country over
the next few days, with some areas in the eastern parts dropping to -8 degrees
Celsius.
Cold weather swept across western on Monday bringing with
it the rain but the
next forecasted cold front is expected to bring disruptive rainfall, strong
winds and very cold conditions.
According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), the cold temperatures are expected to last into the coming weekend. Forecaster Wayne Venter said Gauteng, is expected to have some cold temperatures for today into the weekend and also still expecting snowfall over the high-lying areas of the Western Cape and Eastern Cape.
