Hijacked CoCT vehicle leads to premises with stolen car parts

Metro Police officers recovered a hijacked City of Cape Town vehicle in Philippi East on Friday. The vehicle was reported as hijacked earlier the afternoon, had all City of Cape Town markings as well as the number plates removed. 

‘’Just before 15h00, with the assistance of a vehicle tracking company, the members located the vehicle parked inside a premises in the Marikana informal settlement,’’ said Metro Police’s Spokesperson, Ruth Solomons

A further search of the premises led to the discovery of several stolen motor parts.

‘’There were no suspects present and the scene was handed over to Saps for further investigation,’’ added Solomons.
