Bail granted for woman who killed her cousin

A 22-year-old Onkarabetse Monare was granted R500 bail at the Schweizer-Reneke Magistrate’s Court, this comes after she was accused of stabbing her cousin to death.

Spokesperson Henry Mamothame said the case was postponed to February 21 for investigation.

Monare was arrested on November 20 after she allegedly stabbed her 42-year-old cousin Onneleng Mothupi, in Amalia, after an argument ensued between the two.

Mothupi allegedly told his girlfriend that Monare stabbed him on the upper body, before he was rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on his way.
