A 15-year-old boy was shot and fatally wounded, whilst a 14-year-old was injured following a shooting in Stone Court, Lavender Hill, on Monday night.
The police’s FC van Wyk said that the teenager
was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The motive for the
shooting, which occurred just before 19:00 is suspected to be gang-related.
‘’The Anti-Gang Unit and Metro police were
deployed to the affected area and forces will remain on the ground until we are
satisfied that calm has been restored,’’ said van Wyk.
Steenberg police has opened murder and an
attempted murder case.
