10 people stung by swarm of bees in Malmesbury

Ten people were stung by a swarm of bees at Liebenberg Primary School in Malmesbury on Friday, while the school’s athletics day was underway.

According to the Western Cape’s EMS’ Principal Communications Officer , Deanna February, the bees flew over the crowd.

‘’A call for assistance came through to the West Coast Emergency Communication Centre at 10:39 and a rescue vehicle and three ambulances were dispatched immediately.’’

‘’Two of the ten patients were transported to Swartland and Malmesbury Hospitals. The patients sustained minor injuries,’’ added February.
