Western Cape police seeks public's assistance to help find Philiswa Lwana

Bellville Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit are seeking the assistance of the public in tracing 43-year-old Philiswa Lwana.

Lwana was reported as missing in November 2021, claiming that she was abducted and repeatedly raped by unknown suspects at a residence close to Tygervalley Mall, in Bellville.

‘’The investigating officer went the proverbial extra mile, to save her out of the claws of the suspects in a bid to reunite her with her relatives. Further investigation into the matter revealed that the information provided by Philiswa Lwana now appears to be fabricated and false. A charge of defeating the ends of justice has since been registered,’’ said Warrant Officer, Joseph Swartbooi.
