Ntuthuko Shoba, the alleged mastermind behind Tshegofatso Pule's murder is expected to apply to reopen his case in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Friday.
He has been tried for hiring a
hit man kill his then eight months pregnant girlfriend in 2020, the 28-year-old
victim, was found shot and hanging from a tree.
Her convicted killer Muzikayise
Malephane is serving a 20-year sentence after striking a plea bargain and
turning State witness.
Shoba denied the claims
against him, he said that his only interaction with Malephane on the day of the
murder was to obtain cigarettes during the Covid-19 lockdown.
His judgemnet was meant to be
delivered by Acting Judge Stuart Wilson after Shoba’s lawyer Norman Makhubela
closed his case. If the acting judge agrees for courtto hear further evidence,
this will further push the date forward on which the acting judge will make his
verdict.
