The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) says they have received 147 000 applications thus far, of which, 24 000 were received in the past day.
Parents can apply for Grade R, Grade 1 and 8. A transfer
request is required for learners in Grades 2-7 and Grades 9-12.
Parents and caregivers have until midnight,15 April 2022,
to apply for the 2023 school year.
‘’It’s crunch time for learner admissions for 2023. Tomorrow
(Friday) evening, the admission process closes at midnight, so this is the last
minute plea to parents who haven’t apply to do so before then. If you do not
apply before this deadline, the application will be considered a late
application. So please register your child, apply for the 2023 school year, if
you haven’t done so already,’’ said WCED spokesperson, Bronagh Hammond.
