Senzo Meyiwa's murder accused suspect claims to have been assualted by a prison warder

 The Department of Correctional Services is investigating allegations of one of  Senzo Meyiwa murder accused was assaulted by a prison warder at the High Court in Pretoria.

According to Advocate Malesela Teffo, his client Carlos Mncube, accused number three assaulted in court cells this week.

This too place when the five accused appeared in court to start the trial into the death of the soccer interest. Correctional Services says it’s been made aware of the allegations and any further course of action will be be determined when investigations conclude.

Once again Meyiwa’s murder case was postponed when the lawyer for accused number five asked for an extension to further prepare for the case until April 22.

The laywer argued they wanted to consult defence witnesses on statements given to them by the State two weeks ago, which they say was at the 11th hour. This was despite the other four accused pleading for the case to proceed.
