The two year-old infant was last seen on 24 May 2022 wearing a blue sweater top with red stars, blue trousers and blue shoes. The boy was staying with his grandparents on the day he went missing, but could not be found anywhere when his mother went to fetch him after work. The police were called by Neo`s mother after they found a grave near a river.

The police dug up the grave of the boy and he was identified as Neo due to the clothes he was wearing on the day he went missing. North West police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani said the cause of death remains unclear.

“Subsequent to fruitless search by the community members and Neo`s  family, a missing person enquiry was opened for investigation. The police also joined the search, but neo was never found. The cause of death is still unknown, and no one has been arrested”.

The police are currently investigating to find the alleged perpetrators of the crime.
