Case against Yanga Nyalara and three others postponed

The case against Yanga Nyalara and three co-accused, who are linked to a numerous crimes in Khayelitsha, has been postponed to November.

Nyalara was labeled as the most wanted suspect in the Western Cape during his arrest in July.

Yanga ‘Bara’ Nyalara, who was the Western Cape’s most wanted suspect, and Wandile Tofile, He stands trial on 31 charges, including 12 of murder, five of attempted murder and several charges of drug trafficking and the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and appeared before the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. Nyalara and Manelisi Ngumla are linked to the murder of six people on May 8 in Site C in Khayelitsha. The fourth accused, Lundi Zweni, already has a string of charges against him.

All four men have abandoned their bail applications and remain in custody.

The case was postponed to the 14th of November and has been moved to the Western Cape High Court
