Five suspects to appear in the Simon’s Town Magistrate’s court, after they were arrested for a house robbery on Saturday.
The suspects
aged between 22 and 29 were apprehended by Ocean View Police following a police
alert. According to reports, the suspects went to an address in Masonwabe Road,
Masiphumelele at around 22:50, where they made
a forced entry and demanded money from the owner.
Police’s
Ndakhe Gwala said that the owner had managed to alert police before they made a
swift arrest.
“Constable Chadewell Makanda of Ocean View
SAPS responded instantly and arrested four male suspects and a female for house
robbery, pointing of a firearm and illegal possession of a firearm and
ammunition “.
The
suspects are expected to make their court appearance on Wednesday, 19 October
2022.
