Mitchells Plain police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the body of homeless man

Mitchells Plain Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the body of Johannes Brand.

Brand was found deceased in Town Centre on 14 August 2022.

The police’s joseph Swartbooi said officers, identified the man, who was believed to be homeless, through fingerprints

‘’Upon their arrival at Calypso Square Town Centre, they found the body of an unknown man, dressed in a red pants, a black shirt, blue jeans and black socks. Reports suggested that the deceased was a homeless person. The unknown man was later identified as Johannes Brand through fingerprints taken of the body that was analysed,’’ said Warrant officer, Joseph Swartbooi.
