A 41 year old man went missing at sea on Sunday afternoon. According to the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), officers in Strandfontein responded to reports of a man last seen disappearing underwater while swimming in the mid surf break.
City law enforcement activated
an ongoing search following a tipoff from a close friend after the incident
took place at the Wolfgat nature reserve, on the False Bay Coast.
NSRI’s spokesperson, Craig
Lambinon said that despite an extensive search, the missing local man has yet
to be found.

Enforcement rescue jet-ski’s, CoCT lifegaurds, WC Government Health EMS, Cape
Town Fire and Rescue Services and a fire Dive Unit, Life Healthcare response
paramedics and EMS/AMS Skymed rescue helicopter responded “, said Lambinon.
