Former eThekwini ward councillor, Sunil Brijmohan’s, alleged killers have been caught. Four suspects are expected to appear in uMlazi Magistrate’s court on Tuesday, facing murder charges.
Brijmohan, 42, was
murdered on 21 October in Amazimtoti, with a video of his killing going viral
on social media. The video depicts two men walking up to Brijmohan and shooting
him before walking away.
MEC for Economic
Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Ravi Pillay, described him as a
patriot.
“He was outspoken and
never afraid to tackle issues that were affecting our community. He was never
afraid to ventilate his frustrations as he fought for his community.”
