Western cape police are probing a case of murder and attempted murder after a 30-year-old man was killed and several others, including a teenager, were wounded in two separate shootings in Cape Town.
In the first incident, that occurred yesterday, four men
were shot when an unknown number of men jumped out of a taxi and fired numerous
shots in Beacon Valley, Mitchells Plain.
Police
believe that the shooting incident might have been gang-related.
The victims aged between 40 to 42, sustained gunshot wounds to their arms and legs and were taken to a medical facility for treatment. The motive for the attack is unknown
Meanwhile, in Samora Machel, also on Wednesday, police
opened another attempted murder case after a teenager was wounded in Heinz
Park.
According to the police’s Wesley Twigg the 16-year-old was
was shot in his back and was taken to a medical facility for treatment. No
arrests has been made.
