A 58-year-old Manenberg woman was arrested on Monday on charges of dealing in drugs. According to SAPS, the drugs were allegedly destined for Voorbrug Prison.

Extortion Task Team acted on information of a consignment of drugs and items
that were destined for delivery to inmates in the prison. Police spokesperson
FC van Wyk, said that the search, which was executed in Manenberg, found 385
mandrax tablets, 10kg of dagga, 5 grams of cocaine, 10 cell phones with
batteries and 35 sim cards.
The woman is expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s
Court soon.
