The truck driver involved crash in KwaZulu-Natal was remanded in custody

The truck driver involved in the multi-vehicle crash on the M41 in KwaZulu-Natal was remanded in custody.

Twenty-three-year-old Sithulile Siyabonga Nhlanhlayethu Zulu appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.

The side-tipper truck he was driving collided with multiple vehicles on Monday.

Over 40 people sustained injuries and no one died.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority regional spokesperson, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, the 23-year-old handed himself over to the police on Monday night.
