Police arrested suspects in possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition, and dagga in Delft.

Western Cape police have arrested four suspects who were allegedly found in possession of dagga, ammunition and illegal firearms in Delft, the past weekend..

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi, said police were busy patroling in Delft on Saturday when they heard information and proceeded to an address in The Hague, where they found two males and searched the premises.

The police officers followed other two tipoffs where they approached Siberion Street in Rocklands and searched the premises and found money and dagga, then in Nyanga they arrested an unknown man in possession of a firearm in Zwelitsha.

 According to Swartbooi the suspects are expected to make their respective court appearances in the Bellville, Mitchells Plain and Athlone Magistrates Court on the relevant charges.
